With the constant promotion of urban and rural integration, transportation infrastructure have been improved, trip demand of rural passenger and the coverage and accessibility depth of the passenger network is increasing. But the rural passenger transport efficiency and resource utilization is still low, competition between the different routes is serious, and operator is in trouble. It is difficult to adapt to the rural transport network development in future. The paper studied the operation organization of rural passengers transport network. It contains the form of rural passenger network, passenger characteristics, bus trips allocation, vehicle configuration, optimization of bus organization.Firstly, this paper introduced the related concept and relationship about integration of urban and rural areas, equalization of basic public services, operated organization of rural passenger transport networks. It emphasized the importance of optimized operation of rural passenger transport in the context of urban-rural integration and environment of operation in terms of transport infrastructure, operators, transport sector management and government policy.Secondly, this paper analyzed characteristics of the rural transport network and passengers. The characteristics of network contain the hierarchy of network, types of network layout structure, mode of route planning, relationship between the different routes. Theory of Passenger's characteristics contains the basic characteristics of passenger trip, temporal and spatial distribution of passenger flow.Thirdly, paper studied the bus trips configuration and optimization methods. It started with influencing factors of frequency configuration and mode of bus trips allocation. Model that the number of bus trips is calculated base on the "continuity" and "intermittent" characteristics of passenger flow distribution in different direction of routes is proposed; It also studied optimization model of bus trips so as to minimize the operation cost in region.Fourthly, paper studied rural passenger vehicle configuration and optimization methods. The theory contains the impact factors of vehicle configuration and selection of vehicle types. There is model that the number of operating vehicle is calculated base on minimizing the cost of enterprise operation and passengers'trip. To zone-operation region, there is the optimization model of vehicle combination in peak hours or all day and quantitative analysis of economic benefit is proposed.Fifthly, the paper studied the optimization of bus organization base on regional coordination in network of rural passenger transport. It started with the principle of optimization of bus organization base on regional coordination, types of timetable, and method of departure time domain designing, bus departure interval calculation is proposed. Then paper researched the model of optimization of bus organization base on regional coordination in competitive routes network and co-routes networks.
