Gear transmission is one of the most widely applied a transmission way at present, so gear transmission is often thought to be the symbol of industrialization. A level of development of the country gear drive technology often determines the level of mechanization and industrialization of the country The double circular arc gear compared to common involute gear has more advantages, first of all, the bearing capacity of the double circular arc gear is larger, because of the structure more reasonable, the gear tooth root bending strength and the gear surface contact strength are higher, and it can be accepted more of the load in the same size and material; Second, the double circular arc gear with a very good lubrication performance. It more easily forms the hydrodynamic oil film in the tooth surface in transmission, they can increase the life of gear; Finally, the double arc gear does not exist the phenomenon of undercutting, so size can be made smaller. But, the double circular arc gear also has certain shortcomings. The double circular arc gear is a space helicoid, structure is complex, it is more difficult to design and process, So in the design have higher requirements on the designer and design methods at the same time.This topic selects according to GB/T12759-1991double circular gear for analysis. This topic respectively discusses engagement characteristics, optimization design, parameterized modeling and finite element analysis of double circular arc gear. This way is exactly suited to the characteristics of the double arc gear design. Understanding of both the double arc gear meshing with the driving characteristics, but also a powerful software-aided design to improve design efficiency and accuracy. This is also improvement areas in need of the subject.This paper analysis the double circular arc gear tooth surface and mesh generation process, and derived the double circular arc gear tooth surface equation, the further understanding of the double circular arc gear meshing characteristics, and gets the selection method of the basic parameters of the tooth profile. Then, using the MATLAB toolbox of optimization design to take the optimization design of the double circular arc gear in this paper and get a set of teeth shape parameters, making the reduction of gear volume as much as possible. Using the optimized design parameters of model, this paper used the pro/e software to the double circular arc gear parameterized modeling. Finally, using of ANSYS software of finite element analysis function optimization of the parameters of the next of parameterized modeling rebirth model bending stress and contact stress analysis, can deepen the understanding of the characteristics of gear engagement, and at the same time, verify the optimization design of the accuracy of the results.
