| Dual-phase steel have been widely used in the automotive industry as a solution for lower yield point, higher initial hardening rate, high strength, good ductility and other characteristics. In the advanced high-strength materials, Dual-phase steel has become the most extensive application prospect of a new body manufacture material. It can reduce the weight of steel structure about 20%, especially for cars. Resistance spot welding (RSW) is the dominant sheet metal joining method in automobile industry. Resistance spot welding (RSW) has great importance to automobile industry for it accomplishes about 90% of car body assembly. Resistance spot welding quality will directly affect the quality of the performance of vehicle。Resistance spot welding Dual-phase steel plate applied technology research and development, conservation of resources in today's world, reducing energy consumption and sustainable development is of great practical significance.The main purpose of this project is to design and make 800MPa, 1000MPa level Dual-phase steel of Resistance spot welding performance, through the determination of mechanical properties and its spot welding process test, and make lot of analysis and discussion for two level dual-phase steel. This paper mainly relates how to improve weld ability of 800 and 1000MPa level dual-phase steel by Resistance spot welding(RSW).The main development works are as follows:(1)The properties of application for resistance spot welding of 800MPa-level dual-phase steel were researched. The made dual-phase steel on the domestic spot welding was studied by metallographic analysis, micro-hardness, tensile shear tests and scanning fracture analysis. From the result we can make the optimum conditions and to determine a certain optimization resistance welding process parameters.(2)The properties of application for resistance spot welding of 1000MPa-level dual-phase steel were researched.
