Gas-lubricated is with the performances of clear, unpollution, suit for variety of conditions, etc., it is widely used in aviation, aerospace, precision instruments manufacturing. The air-cushion with elastic pressure groove can improve the rigidity and stability of air-cushion remarkably by elastic deformation of elastic lamination.In the paper, a new type of circular elastic air-cushion is designed that is based on preliminary studies. The principle of the atmospheric air-cushion is unique, when the air-cushion is in the work, the deformation of the elastic pressure groove has been in concave state, it avoids concave and convex deformation repeatedly of the elastic sheet to make the location between the elastic sheet and the slider body to be loose, even be failure.It is used matlab (a kind of numerical analysis software) programming to analyse the principle of the atmosphere air-cushion. First, it needs to generate grid in the polar coodinate system. Second, the gas-lubricated equation and the elastic sheet deformation equation are be simplified, setted the boundary condition, and used the principle of the finite difference to discretization. Once again, it is gas-solid coupling through the elastic deformation of the sheet. Finally, it can be simulation the pressure and the deformation of the elastic sheet.The study of the laboratory is in the field at the earlier stage that could be found that the gas film clearance is bigger than 10 um. the carrying capacity of the cushion is dropped rapidly, almost lost the capacity of work, so the simulation of the atmospheric air flotation cushion is started from the 10 um air film clearance, it could be found that the capacity of the atmospheric air flotation cushion have been improved obviously at the same gas film gap.Finally,1 make a specific test steps about the carrying capacity of the atmospheric floation pad in the experimental study, it bases on the principle of the existing test rig. The film gaps is used with the sensor measurement, then I collect a lot of data and process these data.
