Mechanical seal is an indispensable device for rotating equipment to reduce leakage,save energy and ensure the safe operation of the machine.Dry gas seal is a new type of mechanical seal technology developed in recent years.It belongs to the field of non-contact mechanical seal technology.Spiral groove dry gas seal is one of the most typical non-contact mechanical seals.It has been widely used in various rotating machines because of its low leakage and long service life.The research of spiral groove dry gas seal mainly focuses on the design of the spiral groove dry gas seal structure parameters and the analysis of the end surface flow field.However,these studies are based on a large number of assumptions,neglecting the small deformation of the seal ring.Fluid solid coupling analysis is an important subject for analyzing the influence and interaction between fluid and solid.However,there are few researches on the fluid solid coupling of spiral groove dry gas seals.In order to obtain more accurate work conditions of spiral groove dry gas seals,the method of fluid solid coupling analysis is adopted here.Firstly,the governing equations of the flow field in the spiral groove dry gas seals are derived by using the basic principles of fluid dynamics.Secondly,the three-dimensional modeling of gas film and rotating seal ring of spiral groove dry gas seal is carried out,the fluid field is analyzed by ANSYS Workbench fluid analysis software,and the pressure distributions of the flow field at the different gas film thickness and inlet pressure are studied.On the basis of the analysis on the fluid domain,the two-way fluid solid coupling of the spiral groove dry gas seal is analyzed.The deformation of the rotating seal ring,the stress distribution and the pressure distribution in the fluid field under different working conditions are studied.Finally,the sealing performance of spiral groove dry gas seal with different end face parameters and different working conditions is analyzed.The research results of this paper are of certain guiding significance to the design of the end face structure and sealing performance of the spiral groove dry gas seal.
