Beacon fuze is a new concept fuze technique, which is brought forward for controlling the arming altitude of soft killing ammunition. This new technology is based on the principium of radio course beacon which is be used for navigating and orientating in marine and aviation. Beacon fuze technique involves RF transmission, programmed control. Its function is to control the arming altitude of height finding ammunition.A new scheme has been proposed,which is based on pulsed laser ranging, inertia height correcting and RF data transmission, at the foundation of analyzing a variety of schemes. Relevant height finding model also has been established.The Beacon fuze system comprise beacon bullet and function bullet. The efficiency of beacon bullet is to achieve laser ranging, height revising, and send the corrected height information to function bullet. The efficiency of function bullet is to receive the height information which is comes from beacon bullet, and detonate dynamite when the height data approaches the set height, and play actual combat capabilities in the final.In the choice of selecting scheme of laser ranging, the method of pulse and phase have been analyzed. A model which is based on FPGA has been established. Aerial parachute bomb-let which installed laser range-finding fuze uses pulse system is in the incline attitude in the air generally, it results in the laser furze's optical path and distance measurement increased, eventually, this would lead to the actual bombing height range below the set height range of the best aerial bombardment, and the combat effectiveness to target is weaken. In gravity angle measurement, the gravity component in sensor axis is related to the axis obliquity, so we can use the processing results of the actual output value in sensor axis to correct the height value in laser rang-finding fuze.RF data transmission technology is a key technology which can influence the performance of beacon fuze system. The selection of RF chips is important, through analyzing several typical RF chips'performance, the nRF905 chip has been selected in the final, a RF transceiver circuit has also been produced.Finally, the prototype of beacon fuze system was proved effective in a series of tests.
