With the growth and development of power grid, The security and stability has become a vital element in the Power system, and the security and stability analysis gets more and more difficult. Therefore, we must take various measures in practice, and means to improve the level of security and stability analysis. First, From the analysis of power system security and stability of the basic theory, This paper outlines the features of time-domain simulation for transient stability analysis. Then, in this paper, several operating points of Wen-Zhou Power network have been analyzed using BPA Program. Taking simple phase and three phase fault as the main fault types, I investigated the transient stability of Wen-Zhou Power network, and calculale the Stability transfer limit of the interface. Based on the calculation results of power flow, compared with Stability transfer limit, we found some stability problems, and give some strategies to solve the problem. Applying these measures, we could improve security and stability level of When-Zhou Power network.
