The rate of traffic accident has been increasing for a long time in China and it is a serious threat to life and property security of people. Driving fatigue is one of important factors which cause traffic accidents and the consequence of driving fatigue is very serious. In fact the rate of traffic accident that it caused is far higher than the number of the existing statistical data because driving fatigue have no the unified standards.Nowadays the social economy of Inner Mongolia is a booming. During the period of "the twelfth five-year plan", Inner Mongolia will continue to devlope the construction of theroad, optimize the highway structure and perfect the highway network constantly. The grassland area of Inner Mongolia is so vast that the highway of reconstruction and extension will inevitably across the prairie areas. Feature of prairie highway is that its plane line is long and straight and plane curve radius is large, longitudinal grade is small and changing slope points are many. The landscape of prairie highway is so tedious that road environmental stimuli are little. Many data show that the driver who is driving in the monotonous environment and long straight segment easily distracts attention, relaxes vigilance and continuous driving easily leads to driving fatigue. Driving fatigue will cause the change of drivers'Psychology and Physiology reaction, and we analyze the change of drivers'Psychology and Physiology indexes during the process of continuous driving on the prairie highway, thus we can obtain the changing regularity of drivers' Psychology reaction and Physiology in the generating process of driving fatigue and the epoch of driving fatigue. In this dissertation, applying the qualitative and quantitative analysis approach, the driving fatigue in continuous driving on prairie highway is researched in terms of driver's psychological and physical requirement by the field experiment. The results of experiment verify that the attention or alteration of the driver who drives on prairie highway is hard to be centralized. The conclusions of the experiment are as follows:the trends of heart rate, HF, PERSAC, watch average duration and RR of driver in prairie highway, are declined. Trends of SDNN, LF, LF/HF and blink times of driver are rising on prairie highway. By means of the matching t test on each physical indicator, we obtain that the epoch of visual fatigue in continuous driving is 50 ministries on prairie highway; the epoch of mental fatigue is 80 ministries. The driver fatigue's HAD test results show that the degree of visual fatigue is deepest, the second are heavy feeling and idle tiredly feeling.
