With improving of living standard and the development of prairie tourism, the number of motor vehicles, highway density and highway mileage are increasing year by year. Traffic safety of prairie highway becomes increasingly valued consequently. At present, analysis emphases of traffic accidents are focused on distinguishing and improving accident black-spot of freeway, mountain highway and desert highway, but traffic accidents of prairie highway have not been studied. And analysis of prairie highway traffic accidents through drivers, psychological and physiological reaction on prairie highway and environment has not been reported till now. As is known to all, driver is the dominant factor of dynamic man-manchine-environment system, who is affected easily by external environment. The current highway design mainly based on automobile driving theory and highway design standards, and road users'feelings have been seldom considered. So did the prairie highway. Thus, we are trying to research the unreasonable design of prairie highway by way of analyzing the psychological and physiological reaction. This has important significance for decreasing and preventing from traffic accidents, improving the service level of prairie road.Taking the prairie secondary road, S201 as the research object, Based on investigating traffic accidents and alignment of prairie secondary highway, the accidents distribution and alignment characteristics of prairie saecondary highway are obtained. Based on these, experimental scheme is designed and physiological testing indexes are determined. Driver's physiological indexes are measured in the field experiment, and main influence factors are analyzed and obtained. Finally the correlation models between the physiological indexes and influence factors are established, and the improved measuraes of prairie secondary highway are proposed. The conclusions of this dissertation are as follows:⑴In the testing period,HR growth rate of drivers gradually decreases with the increasing of driving time and when the driving time is beyond 23 minutes, HR growth rate displays negative value.⑵The horizontal curve radius larger than 2150m and the longitudinal gradient between -2%~2% of prairie secondary highway is defined as flat straight section.⑶HRV of driver on flat straight section is significantly higher than that on the non-straight section., but attention of driver on flat straight section is significantly lower than that on non-straigh section.⑷On the flat straight section, the reasonable minimum length of road section on which the drivers can pay attention to is 4.99Km.⑸The main reasons of prairie secondary highway are length of flat straight section, lenth of driving time, request of driving speed, night driving and transverse interference, etc.
