Flow metering is one of the most significant parts in metering scientific technology. Increasing accuracy and efficiency of metering is playing an important role in guaranteeing the quality of product, improving the labor productivity and promoting the scientific technology. So it is inevitable to establish the flow metering standard facility to guarantee the accuracy of flow meters during the magnitude transmission process.Based on one project of Shanghai institute of process automation instrumentation, which is called the research and development of gas flow standard facility by using master meter method, this paper introduces the domestic and overseas technical level as the subject background at first. Then it gives a simple introduction on the working principle of mainstream flow meters and the relative measuring standard facilities as the technical background. In the end, it makes a particular analysis on the software and hardware design parts in this newly-built gas flow standard facility which has combined the critical flow meter and turbine flow meter, as well as a detailed analysis on the uncertainty and error.Guaranteeing the calibration accuracy, this system can promote the calibration efficiency of the flow meter to a very high level in the process of the industry manufacturing.
