CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) is an approximate numerical method that usingcomputer to aid to solve complex structural strength, stiffness, buckling stability, dynamicresponse, thermal conductivity, three-dimensional multi-body contact analysis of elasticplasticmechanical properties and structural performance computing optimal designproblems .With the nature of theory and algorithms ,meanwhile,with the improvement of thecomputer performance, CAE has become an indispensable tool for the development of avariety of products, and it will save a lot of development costs.As the development of economic, the living standard of Chinese has gotten a substantialincrease in China in recent years .The car ownership is increasing sharply, therefore ,the car'ssafety performance and comfort requirements is more and more important. Automobile hubbearing is the one that requires high degree of technical complexity , and they are directlyrelated to vehicle safety and comfort. As the components and parts'integrated, compact andlightweight trends developed, wheel hub bearing units will be more widely applied to car.Compare with conventional wheel hub bearing ,the differences in the structure make themmore demanding on stiffness, so its stiffness analysis and testing is particularly important.This issue makes the hub bearing DAC2F45ABS as the main object of study . The mainresearch contents are as follows:(1) According to the wheel hub bearing unit structure parameters, established threedimensionalmodel in using CATIA.(2) Analysed the wheel hub bearing unit load characteristics first, then establish asimplified model and a whole model ,lastly ,use the software of ABAQUS for the finiteelement simulation analysis for both of them .Afterwards , optimized the rigid of the hub unitbearings from structural aspect.(3) According to the wheel hub bearing unit and the moment rigid testing machine'sstructural parameters ,design and process tests'tools in order to carry out the rigiditytest.Obtain the test result and compare it with the finite element results. Constantly modifythe wheel hub bearing units finite element model in order to supply experience and basis forlater experience and rigid basis.
