With the rapid development of the technology of modern process industry,the requirement on improving energy utilizing efficiency is much higher. Fordeveloping the circular economy greatly, a smelter factory uses the waste heatfrom the process of industry production to generate electricity. The factoryexisted industrial boiler's computer control system is seriously outdated, thecontrol level is low and the production efficiency is lower than the nationalstandard. As the industrial boilers/waste heat boilers and generationequipments run independently, and self-control, energy balance and materialconsumption need manual intervention, there are many problems, such asmutual constraints, running unstable and excessive consumption. Therefore,the automation reconstruction of industrial boiler is a problem needs to besolved urgently; Research on coordinate contol between the industrial boilerand waste heat boilers conducted on the factory's boiler cleaner productionand generating stable and optimal operation is very significant.Based on operation situation and control level of the smelter factory'sindustrial boilers, Hollysys' DCS system is adopted to control them. Withcascade PID control algorithm to achieve automatic control of the drum waterlevel. Field operational results show that it has a good control effect, it canadapt with the complexity situation of severe non-linear, large thermal inertiaand multiple disturbances; It realizes automatic control and centralizedmanagement on the industrial boiler, and achieve the purpose of energy savingand emission reducting.For waste heat generate system of the factory, real-time data exchangebetween the power optimization monitoring system and the below controlsystems is achieved with OPC technology; In order to make the main steampressure fluctuate within a certain range and ensure the generator's stable andoptimal operation, a turbine-boiler coordinate control system which based onthe rule expert system is designed. The system solves the pre-existingproblems and achieves the optimal effect.Finally, an optimization guidance system of the turbine-boilercoordination was developped with the VB, OPC and database technology.Field operational results show that the system can guide the operator of the factory better.
