Traditional sports protector is major of rubber products. The rubber products can play a part in protection, but it has bad air permeability, peculiar smell, easy aging and can cause environmental pollution. In view of this, this paper chooses thermal-bond fiber and three-dimensional crimp hollow polyester fiber as raw material to produce a new high quality and inexpensive motorcyclists' racing suit protector by molding.This paper studies the theory of molding firstly. During the molding, the heat has two transfer methods. The first is depending on fiber and the second is depending on the air. Using heat conduction differential equation and Newton cooling law, the mathematical model about heat transfer during the process of molding is obtained, which provides effective reference for protector preparation.Secondly, this paper has adopted two methods to produce protector, which are the heating of molded board method and hot air compression molding method. Influence factors during the process of molding to formability, impact resistance and permeability of protector are analyzed, and determined the best preparation technique. Study shows that the protector produced by hot air compression molding can reach impact resistance requirements of European standard. Compared with rubber protector and the protector produced by the heating of molded board method, the permeability has significantly improvement.Last, this paper uses finite element software ABAQUS to simulate impact resistance of the protector. The simulation shows that the result of influence of factors to impact resistance is consistent with the result of experimental. That means the model is effective. Due to the development of protector is a complicated process, using the finite element software ABAQUS can reduce the costs, and save development time. so, it can extend the industrialization of protector.
