With the development of wind power technology in the context of the global, wind turbines are applied more and more widely together with higher technological requirements. Blade is one of the key parts of wind turbine; its design quality is related closely with the performance, power efficiency and service life of wind turbine.The research object used in the dissertation was small horizontal axis wind turbine blades produced by Jiaxing Maxwind Co.,Ltd.. Aerodynamic contour design of the blade was researched based on the Wilson model referring to the relevance theories and methods. A design and modeling program for the blade was developed on the platform of SolidWorks. The 3D solid model can be automatically generated according to the input design parameters. This method realized efficient and intelligent design for the wind turbine blade as it omitted the transformation and storage of the mass data produced in previous design process. It can greatly shorten the design cycles and reduce development costs.To verify the validity of the design, the flow-field simulation analysis was carried on the blade using CFD software to calculate and evaluate the aerodynamic performance of the blade. In addition, the large finite element analysis software ANSYS was adopted to simulate and analyze the structure performance of the blade according to the actual product structure layers, including the static analysis and vibration modal analysis. These simulations checked strength and dynamic performance of the blade and provided a basis for the enterprises to work on the optimization design of the blades. They could also save a lot of experiments and devices, help to improve the design efficiency and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.This study has certain theoretical and practical significance. It provides a new architecture and implementation methods for the design and manufacture of wind turbine blade, so it has a high application value.
