Study On Design Schedule Plan And Control Of EPCM Project

The engineering design occupies a prominent position in the execution process of the project, it's also important to the whole life cycle of the project. The plan of a design infects the period and the difficulty of the engineering construction. Not only does it provide the blueprint and basic document, for the following construction stage, it also relates that, whether the project value can be realized. As a rising and quickly developing application discipline which is combined of modern management theory, engineering technology, and engineering construction practice, Project Management is widely used in the developed industrial countries. In fact, effectively managing to design project has much positive influence to the quality, schedule and cost of the project, and is one of the central tasks of the whole engineering construction stage. Schedule control of design is the premise of the project procurement and construction schedule control. Grasp the process of design phase and coordinate with the procurement and construction schedule control will provide feasible key to the three control goals of the project, it's also a farther application to project management theroy.Firstly, this thesis defines the characteristics of EPCM projects, and based on related project schedule management knowledge, taking the WK (Nanjing) MD Project as object, expatiates the application of theory, process and method of project schedule plan and control in engineering practice. The content that the thesis relates to includes:EPCM project management organization structure and main tasks assignment; The design phase being in progress to the tasks structure decomposition, the main tasks responsibility assignment, tasks precedence relationship confirmation, man-hour estimation, network chart drawing, etc. by utilizing modern project management methods, then work out the design schedule plan of this project; In the progress of project operation must monitor the rale of design progress to ensure that every task can be in progress according to the rate of plan unceasingly; Based on charging a plan's executing status into practice, the contrast between the reality and the plan of design schedule is carried out analyses, should adopt the effective countermeasure in time, ensure a project be in progress according to preplanned rate of progress target, avoid the time limit being procrastinated for a project; Seek the problems in the process of design schedule plan and control, and present the corresponding solutions.I expect that this article can be helpful and popular to the design shcdule plan and control of similar EPCM projects.
