Research On The Coordination Evaluation Index System About City Transportation And City Space Development

Urban transport problem is a universal and key issue in city development. The progress of urbanization in China is rapid, and we are facing an important period during which an optimal city structure is to be built, it is also a sensitive period to adjust the transportation structure. The quality of transportation system is directly related to socio-economic development and residents welfare. It is people's urgent needs to build a transportation system that well coordinates city development.In this paper, the relationship between urban public transport and urban space is analyzed based on the study of urban spatial structure, thereby building a system of coordinated development between urban public transport and urban space that takes account of urban spatial layout, resources and environment factors, with urban transport being the core. An effective evaluation system is built using urban design, transportation planning and economics approach, which gives a more intuitive representation of the coordinated development of urban public transport and urban space. Taking Jinan as an example, the coordinated development between urban public transport and urban space of that city is evaluated, thereby drawing the conclusion that the urban public transport sub-systems and the coordinated development in Jinan are both in their early stage.
