Due to the improvement of modern productivity and technology, instead of manual work, Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) is implemented to finish repeating and unsafe working procedures in various fields. Therefore, Suzhou Technician Institute is developing teaching and training on FMS to satisfy market needs and provide skillful talents to corporations. In 2009, Suzhou Technician Institute input the YL-268 Flexible Automated Product Line, the outstanding FMS product of Yalong Corporation(亚龙集团). However, There's a shortage of YL-268 Flexible Automated Product Line, two or more products can not be manufactured together in this line. This essay based on the development of YL-268 Flexible Automated Product Line, by adding extra transducers, to distinguish different materials and determine if it need to be manufactured in this procedure. This research helps to realize the development of mutual products manufactured in the same product line.In addition, during the manufacture and evaluation, high quality and inferior products will be separated in part of the procedures. This essay shows how color codes in the transducers and transmission lines are used to distinguish the high quality and inferior products, especially among the products with the same or similar materials, in same or similar colors.As in some corporations, specialists have to modulate transducers of electromotor one by one for the low-level automatization of product line, some parts still need to be powered by transducers. In order to improve this situation, this research tried to regulate product line speed with a Siemens S7-300 PLC and touch control.
