Strongly non-linear hydrodynamics and ship motion performance under heavy sea has become a research hotspot in the world. Many countries pay special attention to the study of environmental adaptability of the ship in rough seas. At present, neither theory nor ship model test in the tank widely used today can not solve these problems effectively. large-scale model testing in the real sea waves was carried out by occident, and which developed rapidly at home in recent years.To establish a test-bed of large scale model motion physical simulation in the real sea waves and explore the feasibility of the testing, I continued the study from several aspect in the paper.In this paper, large-scale model testing methods in real sea wave have been described. Based on the data of large-scale offshore testing model twice, I proved that the spectral type similar to the ocean wave, and better than the wave generated in the tank, compared the offshore ocean wave spectrum with the ocean wave spectrum.Compared with the tank testing, the motion spectral and the first order frequency response functions of the large-scale model testing whose tend were accorded and amplitude were lowly. Green water on deck observed in the large-scale model testing were less than the tank testing, which said that the nonlinear characteristics of large-scale model is close to the real ship. So the large scale model in the real sea waves testing is feasible and advantageous, and provides a test of advanced technology for the study of strongly non-linear dynamics and motion performance. |
