With the great development of worldwide shipping trade, the competition in shipbuilding market becomes harder and harder, which causes the need of improvement in the accuracy of intermediate products in shipbuilding process. To fulfill the demand of accuracy control of the whole ship hull, it is necessary to strictly control the integrate accuracy in sub-assembling part, assembling part and erection part. Chinese technology in shipbuilding, comparing with Japan and Korea, has great shortage in accuracy control. Particularly, the deficiency doesn't only exist in block accuracy, but also exist in the accuracy control of assembling and erection. In other hand, erection and assembling has great sense on saving shipbuilding period, decreasing cost and advancing quality. Thus, the research on the erection and assembling accuracy control fulfills the need of advancing quality of shipbuilding and is available in the aspects of produce, technique, equipment, software and economy.Through studying the accuracy control of cargo hold in the process of building the first ship, this paper, taking the 5618TEU of DSIC as the object, introduces the rule, method, and mode of project quality management into shipbuilding quality management. Under the direction of theory of project quality management, the author researches the accuracy problem of cargo hold on 5618TEU in the process of erection and assembling. This paper provides the solution of this accuracy problem and the technology to control quality. By applying this method in the building of subsequent ships and comparison with the result of accuracy control of serial ships, the technology of quality control has been concluded and advanced. Meanwhile, this method is proved to be available and reasonable.This paper studies the controlling influent factors and technical difficulties of cargo hold accuracy control in large container ship construction. The accuracy and quality control method has been given, which has general directive meaning and referenced value in the construction of the same large container ship and the improvement and advancing of quality.
