Based on the current achievements in the research and the study in the dynamics of rock damage from the experience of field survey at Dali-Lijiang Shyanglong highway tunnel and experiment on Hopkinson pressure bar testing, this essay aims to analyze and explore the cumulative effects of rock plastic damage.Taking the TSP technology and geological radar detection theory in field observations on Shuanglong Tunnel at Dali highway as a practical example, this essay introduce the observation includes advanced forecasting, early detection branch, the second lining inspection and quality monitoring. Through the TSP test, we can get the basic geological parameters and the characteristic of various rock mass in the future from Shuanglong Tunnel; through the detection of geological radar, we can learn the specific circumstances within the rock mass and various change of supporting during the construction.By comparing the analysis of the image detected by ground penetrating radar, it is easy to analyze the difference of supporting layer and the internal rock in the process of blasting. Thus, we can avoid the geological defects. Studying the cumulative effects of rock plastic damage from real production by blasting, this essay is on the base of FLAC3D numerical simulation software. According a variety of TSP data, take the numerical simulation on tunnel excavation, and provide strong support to the analysis of tunnels' stability. This essay is focusing on the idea of combining the theory and practice, and studies the characteristics of damage accumulation for the construction of the tunnel as well as provides the theoretical basis to the protection of the quality of the tunnels.Rock damage has two characteristics of damage limit and damage lower limit. However, it has nothing to do with the damage of rocks. They are affected by the lithologic character of rocks. Meanwhile, the cumulative effect of damage in the same sample should be increasing as an increasing function.
