Research On The Development Of Modern Parks In Hangzhou (1912-1993)

The park acts as the rising urban public space in China,which is the most important patr of gardensand greenbelt.Many reasons are mixed with its forming and development,meanwhile,it also affects theentertainment of people unspectacularly.The Chinese modern park is one side and one epitome of the early modern life changing.Thegeneration fo parks is as result of imperialism's invasion and Chinese revolution,due to the source ofChinese revolution is in the South,and there are advantageous natural conditions in South,either theeraly stage of park or being particular park,or finally developing the diverse park model,which is mostrepresentative in South.Hangzhou is one of the cities,where the park was constructed earliest in China, also is one of thecities.where the development of the early modern is most active,which is not personal or occasionalreasons,but consistent with the long historical culture of Hangzhou, character and historical progress ofChinese modern society and the position of eraly modern history.It can be said,the modern park ofHangzhou is representative and it is of advantage to study development history,whole park system andeven the development of urban garden undertaking for our country.The study starts on the Hangzhou where the eraly modern parks are more concentrated,to overallstudy the development and revolution of eraly modern park and the relationship with society, politics,economy and culture base,and makes more comprehensive study on development progress.In thespecific frame,first,the study reviews the traditional garden of Hangzhou,then confirm the historicalperiodization for the development history,according to the park construction situation and developmentmodel of 81 years from 1912 to 1993,to divide the development history into five periods,in other wordsto be the rising of world park-the budding stage of Hangzhou park (1840-1911),the park of republic ofChina in Hangzhou-growth stage (1912-1948),and the three stages of liberation park of Hangzhou:theforming stage of Hangzhou park (1949-1965),the deadtime stage (1966-1976),the development stage(1977-1993).Combining the specific examples,it makes more comprehensive study on wholedevelopment progress,in detail analyse the relationship among the development status of Hangzhou parkwith society,politics,economy,culture base per period,to summarize the development model andcharacter of every stage. Finally, on the basis,the study presents the suggestion and prospect for the development ofHangzhou.Wish the study and conclusion to be active reference and practical reference value for thedevelopment of modern park in China.Try to search the development skeleton of the historical periodfrom the history,further recognize the law of development of Chinese modern garden to provide thereference for new progress in future.
