Urban traffic organization refers to the qualitative and quantitative proportional relations of various vehicles within and between cities, including traffic structure and traffic spatial organization. Urban traffic problem is part of the study of urban problems in urban geography. According to its characteristics, it can be divided into urban regional traffic and urban interregional traffic. While the traffic conditions and location makes the differences of transportation cost are the important elements which influence the economic development. In the new economic geography theory, transport cost serves as an endogenous variable of economic growth. And the development of traffic network is the basic premise of economic development. Therefore, with the developing of economy, traffic flow in megalopolis is strengthening ceaselessly. Then it put forward higher requirement for traffic spatial organization."The Cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province Undertakes Industrial Transfer Demonstration Area Planning" which is official approval of the State Council, is an important milestone for the Cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province to undertake industrial transfer and promote economic development. This is a good opportunity to promote its economic development and strengthen its regional and interregional traffic. Then it put forward a higher request to optimize traffic spatial organization. Through analyzing the traffic situation in the Cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province to discover the existing problems. Then according to the interaction strength of years, to predict the future direction of the dominant transport links, and put forward optimizations for traffic spatial organization, so as to raise the operation efficiency and theoretical support. Therefore, this study has great practical significance and reference value. This paper consists of three sections:Section one includes chapter one and chapter two is the background of this paper. It summarizes the progress of relevant research at home and abroad, and introduces the backgrounds, significance, methods and the frameworks of this paper. Then simply summarizes the concepts and theories of megalopolis traffic, which offers the solid base for this study.Section two analyzes the traffic spatial organization in the Cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province systematically, including chapter three to chapter six. It's the key part of this paper. It mainly expatiates from four aspects:Firstly, it introduces the general situation of the cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province. Then it compares the traffic between China, Anhui Province and the cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province briefly to find the main mode of transport in the Yangtze River in Anhui Province is road. At last it introduces the main routes, the difference of hierarchical organization and network density in the cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province.Secondly, use social network method to analyze the characteristic of regional and interregional traffic's network of road and railway in the cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province. The results shows: Road network is better than railway network and regional network is better than interregional network. The problems in regional traffic are traffic doesn't match with economic and population, road classification is polarized and traffic development is imbalance in different cities. The problems in interregional traffic are interaction strength doesn't match with traffic and the contact direction is mainly focus on the cities in Yangtze River Delta.Thirdly, this paper combines the current situation with changes over the years of regional and interregional interaction strength to predict the dominant direction of its traffic links in the future. The direction of regional traffic will develop along the "north-south axis" and "east-west axis", optimize around regional center and strengthen in "two-wings". The direction of interregional traffic will contact to east and expand to west.At last, it promotes countermeasures according to the existing problems. Coordinate the relationship between traffic, economic and demographic; Promote the road classification in the cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province; Coordinate the the traffic development evenly in different cities. Optimize transport links to east. Then it puts forward optimization countermeasures for the traffic spatial organization by combining the direction of its economic links in the future. Strengthen along the "north-south axis" and "east-west axis"; Develop around regional center; Construct the external export in "two-wings". Stabilize the contact to east; Expand the contact to west; Strengthen the interregional traffic especially.Section three consists of chapter seven is the conclusion and discussion, indicates the main conclusion of this paper and some works need to complete.
