Altitude test facility is the indispensable equipment for aero engine development test.Altitude chamber consists of replacement exhaust diffuser, height of tank, fixed exhaust diffuser and exhaust ejector device. Main equipments of altitude Chamber, air pipe systems, civil infrastructure and factories together constitute altitude simulation test bed.In order to achieve lower energy consumption, reducing test purpose of running costs, replacing exhaust diffuser must be designed and used. Only replacing exhaust diffuser can maintain discharge gas pressure to the maximum extent, reduce the necessary power volume of the exhaust system and realize the critical flow at the exhaust diffuser-throated in the state of maximum flow state.According to the performance and structure features of new altitude simulation test bed, the replacing exhaust diffuser has been designed. The diameter of replacing exhaust diffuser has been computed and selected based on debugging engine main altitude test points. The material and the size of replacing exhaust diffuser have been selecting based on the working conditions of replacing exhaust diffuser and structural features. The new installation method of replacing exhaust diffuser has been designed considering the fixed high-altitude exhaust diffuser and structural characteristics.
