The railway inspection instrument can inspect track's parameters in the course of traveling, Including Gauge, level, etc. the application of railway inspection instruments has improved the level to inspect the Geometry state of the track strongly.A variety of distance finding technologies has been compared in this paper, using the infrared range technology as the core theory of the measuring device. Designing the intelligent vehicle track level detection device based on the theory. In this paper, infrared technology and infrared range techniques have been analyzed systematically; Detail described the hardware design and software programming of the detection device, especially for infrared transmitter receiver module and CDMA data communication module. Focused on the design concept of given hardware and implementation of software programming flow. Finally, analyzed the reliability of the device when it running.
