The Design Research Of The Indoor Public Rest Area In Commercial Shopping Space

As shopping becoming an indispensable part of modern life, reasonable designing on commercial shopping space and creating a shopping paradise play a crucial role on prompting more consumption and better consumption, which mean that attaining the purpose of win-win. Living under extreme competition and high pressure, relaxation out of the work time obviously tends to be people's first need. So only remaining public rest area for customers is the most effective way leading to better consumption. Based on all these analysis, the conclusion comes to be the design for the public rest area in the commercial shopping space is an important part of commercial shopping space design.Public rest area, as a component of shopping space, has strengthened its influence through the development and changes of commercial consumption mode. And the supreme purpose of commercial shopping space design is creating a comfortable and delightful business environment, gaining economic profit and exercising social effects for the further step. For essentially it is stimulating customers'purchase intention through attracting their attention.For modern people, shopping is not just commodity purchase anymore. It is an approach of getting spiritual and psychological satisfying, involving getting relax, obtaining information, attaching with people and society and learning in the procedure. In this research paper, the object of study is the indoor public rest area design in commercial shopping space. And this paper also proposes solutions and design method of rest area through giving analysis characteristics of consumers and the need of public rest area based on different types along with summarizing the general problems existed among the rest area.
