Real-time detection of the distance between the wrecked ship and the rescue ship using Laser Measurement System (in short, LMS) is one of the most important things in salvage operation. However, the rescue ship's big roll angle often makes the LMS lost its measuring targets on the wicked sea conditions, so that the rescue ship couldn't follow the wrecked ships. A 1-DOF stable platform was designed and accomplished. Real-time measurement The attitude of rescue ship is real time measured by MTI, which is used as an input signal to the control system of the stable platform so as to reduce the effect of the ship's roll motion for the LMS. Therefore, there are good application value and practical significance in this paper.This paper researched on the following aspects:Firstly, by the way of 4-DOF turntable experiment and analysis the effects of the hull trim and roll for the measurement of the LMS. The structure and installation of the stable platform was work out by the measurement of the LMS. The selection of the motor is work out through moment measure.Secondly, the selection of actuator, feedback component, electrical source and drivers was finished by the way of analysing the structure of servocontrol system.Thirdly, the mathematical model was established. The transfer function was work out by the way of analysing the dynamic performance and steady state performance of servocontrol system.Finally, the experiment of Matlab was worked out by system model which had been established. The contrastive experiment of a single closed-loop control and double-loop control validated the double-loop control is better than single closed-loop control. The PID parameter was worked out by PID practicality experiment. The experiment above indicated the stable platform which was designed by this paper could compensate the effect of ship rolling motion for LMS. It is propitious to the measurement for the wreck ship.
