In order to protect reinforced concrete(RC) framework beam-column joint avoiding its destruction in the earthquake,a new RC structural systerm with energy dissipation haunch braces (EDHB) was proposed,which not only have good performance,economical efficiency and application property, but also have no effect on the use of its functions. In this paper,the analysis of different design parameters and tests study were adopted for RC framework with buckling-restrained haunch braces(BRHB) and viscous damper haunch braces(VDHB) respectively. Combined with an engineering example, the vibration reduction effect of framework with different EDHB and reinforced concrete haunch braces(RCHB) was investigated. Finally,the design method of RC framewok with EDHB for both new structure and existed structure retrofition was proposed preliminary.The main research work are showed as below:(1)Based on the accuracy verification of the model established by software of SeismoStruct, a series of parameters research were carried out on RC framework with BRBH. The vibration reduction effect of RC framework with BRHB was investigated under different design parameters which included different initial stiffness ,yield load and post-yield stiffness ration,different section size of beams and colums and its different reinforcement rate,different ration of beam span and column hight,different number of spans and stories, different axial load ratio.(2) The software of PERFORM-3D was used to study the seismic performance of RC framewok with VDHB under different design parameters which included different ground seismic waves, different parameters of viscous damper, different position and layout schemes of viscous damper, different number of stories and different peak acceleration waves.(3)Low frequency cyclic loading tests and numerical simulation analysis verification were adopted to study the RC framework with BRHB and general RC framework.Seismic behaviors sunch as failure modes,load-displacement curves,structural ductility,strength and stiffness degradation,energy dissipation and material strain of these specimens were studied.(4)The RC framework with VDHB and general RC framework were tested by using sine waveform steady-state excited vibration tests. Seismic behaviors sunch as failure modes, hysteretic performance,energy dissipation and reinforcement strain of these specimens were analyzed.Besides, The Seismic performance of RC framework with VDHB before and after damaged were analyzed and compared. (5)Combined with an engineering example, software of ETABS and PERFORM-3D were used respectively to investigate the overall vibration reduction effect of framework of BRHB, VDHB,reinforced concrete haunch braces(RCHB) and general under small and big earthquakes.(6)The design method of RC framewok with BRHB and VDHB for both new structure and existed structure retrofition was proposed preliminary respectively.
