Abstract/Summary:
With the advance of China's urbanization process, urban population is growing, land for building is more and more less, so high-rise buildings has been the best choice for urban construction. Although the High-rise buildings provide people with spacious living space, bring the city bustling scene, they bring many negative impacts to urban wind environment.The strong winds around high-rise buildings bring discomfort to pedestrian, even endanger the safety of pedestrians; The swirls in residential high-rise building is not conducive to air circulation, reduced air quality and increased energy consumption and so on. To address these issues, it is necessary for doing systematic study about the wind environment of buildings.Three methods are always used to study the law of the air flowing, they are wind tunnel test, field experiments and numerical simulation. This paper have used Fluent, a CFD-based software, to study the wind environment of single building, buildings of simple combination and a under construction residential area. After the study about single building environment, we found that when one of the three factors, which are length, width and height, increase while the other two unchanged, the maximum wind speed ratio surrounding the building increases. When the initial wind speed increases, the maximum wind speed is proportional to the initial wind speed, and the maximum wind speed ratio unchanged. The study about simple building groups formed by high and low buildings found that when the buildings arranged with the order that from low to high along the flow direction of the wind, the maximum wind speed ratio is minimum, whereas the maximum. The study about the wind environment of a under construction residential area in Tianjin found that when the smoothly or north wind flows, the air flow smoothly, the maximum wind speed is relatively small, and the atmosphere pressure difference is relatively large, the indoor natural ventilation is smoothly too. When northwest wind flows, the narrow channel wind effects are obvious, the maximum wind speed ratio is relatively large, clam wind area is large, air circulation is not smooth, and the indoor natural ventilation is not smoothly.
