With the fast development of electric power industry, more security and reliability are required to the thermal power plant. Turbine, as one of the core equipments in the thermal power plant, long-term operates in the harsh environment with very high-speed, the probability of the rotor vibration failure which threat the safety production is high. Once it occurs, the consequences are very serious. So it is very necessary to develop a system for turbine with the function of on-line monitoring and analysis. The thesis systematic analysis and summaries the research situation of turbine vibration monitoring and fault diagnostic system in and out of china, combined with the specific characteristics of turbine in the thermal power plant, we design this turbine vibration monitoring and analysis system.The main research work of the paper is as follows:1. Based on the turbine units in one turbine factory, we design the framework of the turbine vibration monitoring and analysis system, complete the data acquiring function of the lower computer software and successfully design the sensor interface with parameters.2. Studied the commonly used vibration signal analysis methods of large-scale rotating machinery, including time domain and frequency domain analysis methods.3. Complete the database design of the turbine vibration monitoring and analysis system, turbine vibration data transmission in lower computer,database server and upper computer.4. Complete the design of the monitoring and analysis software installed on the upper computer, including the program of the vibration monitoring module, vibration signal analysis module(FFT transform, power rate spectrum, orbit and bode plot etc) and database management module.5. Through our turbine vibration monitoring and analysis system, we monitor the bently-RK4 rotor when it is running, successfully find its abnormal operation and get the cause of the fault with the help of the upper computer software.6. With the actual use we test the turbine vibration monitoring and analysis system in the power plant of Jiangsu province. The test result is good, prove the system can effectively monitoring and analysis the steam turbine fault.It is believed that the system will be further improved after further research on it and a period of operation in the power plant. The web based vibration monitoring and analysis system for power plant units will make contribution to the safe operation.
