As a key part in electric power steering column , the steering sensor has high precision assembly requirement , assembly position is sheet metal part . Originally we adopt hydraulic pressure system for finish the stacking process after camera find out the position of stacking points, and revise the offset of distance of travel for better assembly result . As the structure complexity of the assembly parts and quality of uncertainty, and the correction factor is derived from the results with reference to the previous assembly, so the error and estimation of the size is fluctuant and uncertain, To resulting the reject percent of assembly was not satisfied, reach to 12000 PPM. The success rate of assembling steering sensor was very low in the meantime, only 91%.Based on the current status of the assembly process optimization and assembly of system error propagation analysis, the new automatic assembly stacking device system has been designed and manufactured, To greatly reducing the structural error and assembly error. Mainly propose the error propagation modeling to improve the process quality control, emphasizing the multi-process assembly process quality control on the error propagation effect, and fluctuation in assembly results in real time tracking. helping operator make the right parameter , After this system running, the reject percent of assembly is reduced to 5000 PPM. The success rate of assembly sensor is raised to go together was increased to 96%.
