RF connector is a kind of transmission interface components,it was be used in electrical connections and RF signal transmission between devices and device,component and component,system and subsystem. It's a basic component to constitute a complete system. RF HIGH POTENTIAL WITHSTANDING VOLTAGE is one of four most important parameters (VSWR, insertion loss, RF leakage, RF high potential withstanding voltage).It's a main judgment of RF connector whether could keep on working under RF high pressure. Also it's a important parameters of RF connector.MIL-C-39012 series standard and GJB 681A-2002 marking RF high potential withstanding voltage as a quality assessment of RF connector.At present the test device of RF high potential withstanding voltage is less, the only one was manufactured by No.23 research institute of Ministry of electronic industry. The device's frequency is 5MHz, test voltage range 0~1000V.But with the developing of technology, the new RF connector constantly emerging, technical indicators continuously improving, this device is difficult to meet the test requirements of RF connector, especially for medium-sized RF connector such as N type,L27 type,L29 type and so on. So developing the new test device of RF high potential withstanding voltage for the RF connects is particularly important.In view of this, this article analysis the test theory of RF high potential withstanding voltage and developing a test device Based on the theory. The frequency of the test device range 5MHz ~ 7MHz, the voltage range 0 ~ 3500V.It could do the test according to the MIL-C-39012 and GJB 681A-2002.Then analysis the Measurement uncertainty of the test device. The Measurement uncertainty proves that the test device can satisfy the test requirements of MIL-C-39012 and GJB 681A-2002. Finally design the method of calibration.
