At present, the reinforcement material using in the concrete structures mainly are the steel, steel wire and prestressed steel strand. These materials are all made of steel. Because of the corrosion problem of the steel, the deficiencies and shortcomings of the steel reinforcement structure are being exposed. Therefore, many domestic and foreign scholars began to study the solution to the corrosion problem. It was found that it was efficient to use the fully nonmetal materials replacing the steel reinforced concrete structure. Not only it can solve the problem of corrosion radically, but also non-metallic material can develop its other advantages.Based on reading a large number of domestic and overseas references, the theoretical analysis and related tests on the concrete beam prestressed with FRP bars have been done with in the paper.The mechanical property of FRP is learned by the tension test of GFRP in this paper. Based on domestic and overseas references, the concrete beams prestressed with FRP bars are designed. The construction technology of the concrete beam prestressed with FRP bars is tentative explored. Then, with the help of finite element software–ANSYS, a simulation analysis about the test beam has been done. The result includes the load-displacment curve, crack forming process and untimate load. These results were compared with concrete beam prestressed with steel. In this paper, the bending strength of normal section, the computational formula of crack width and the computational formula of deflection for concrete beams prestressed with FRP bars have been inferred. At last, this paper came to a conclusion. It takes a bright outlook for the future of the concrete beams prestressed with FRP bars. It will be used as a source of reference in the coming relative research.
