As the problems of environmental pollution and energy shortage becoming more and more serious, people pay more attention to fuel cells, one of the most prospects is solid oxide fuel cells. At present, domestic and foreign researches mainly focus on internal stack material, structure, etc., external control is not taken seriously, which is the bottleneck problem of application. How to manage the heat, electricity of the system, and ensure it to satisfy the need of load, is a very meaningful research direction.Because the fuel cell responses slowly to load, an auxiliary power supply device is in need, which can do better in real-time load tracking, and solve the problem of fuel deficit in order to ensure system security. How to coordinate the work requires a more advanced and reasonable control algorithm. After the system design completed, it should be tested on hardware platform. We cannot finish the whole control system without controller technology. Therefore, designing an electronic control unit with a 32-bit advanced core is a difficulty. The whole thesis research is lunched based on this background. The main tasks of this thesis are as follows: 1) Design the fuel cell/ ultracapacitor hybrid system, which can satisfy the requirements of real-time load tracking, Build system simulation model in Matlab/simulink; 2) Design the controller using model predictive control algorithm which can cordinate fuel cell and ultracapacitor; 3) Design the hardware platform of the electronic control unit with the core MPC555, expand the storage space, reserve rich I/O ports, and make circuit board with EMC considered; 4) Generate control code automatically by the RCP technology, do tests on the hardware platform and analyze the results.
