With the implement of "Design standard for energy-efficiency of residential buildings in hot summer and cold winter zone" (JGJ134-2001), it can improve the indoor thermally comfortable environment of the residential buildings in hot summer and cold winter zone effectively. As the energy-saving and environmental protection are require to be increasingly improved, it is extremely urgent to implement the standard of sixty-five percent energy-saving of residential buildings in hot summer and cold winter. Then the envelope energy efficiency will improve 30% on the original basis , that is 32.5%.Residential buildings were selected as the research object in the seven typical cities of hot summer and cold winter zone. The model of six-storey residential building was set up. And with using of energy consumption software VisualDOE4.0, the paper analysis the thermal performance of exterior wall, roof, and window which influence on the energy consumption. And on the basis of the enclosure limit value of the 50% energy-saving standard, analysis the improvement situation of the annual energy-saving ratio when improving the thermal performance of the residential building enclosure structures. By the combination schemes design, the combination schemes with the different window-wall ratio which can afford the envelope energy efficiency of 32.5% was obtained. Then just varies the heat transfer coefficient of exterior wall on this combination scheme, the limit value of heat transfer coefficient of exterior wall was gained. Conclusion this it can get the comprehensive index of residential building energy efficiency of 65%.Meanwhile,according to the comparative experiment of winter and summer in 2010, energy-saving effect was analyzed. Then comparison the energy-saving ratio and the temperature between experiment and simulation, the simulation results are accordant with measurement results. It is fully verified the correctness of simulation calculations.As the biggest part of building external surround area, exterior wall has great influence on the annual energy efficiency, so it has great meanings on the building energy consumption and indoor comfortableness to have a research on the heat transfer characteristic of exterior wall. The experiment of external insulation wall and basic wall in summer was established. The experiment data were used for the boundary conditions of software FLUENT, and the interior temperature distribution of each material layer of the two walls were abtained. Then it can get the heat storage, heat flux of each material layer by analysing these temperature distribution. Conclusion these, the heat absorption and heat release characteristics was obtained.By the measurement of the outdoor temperature of Chongqing in August, we get that the total ventilation time of the Chongqing in August night is 109h. At the same time, by theoretical calculation we get heat transfer rate between the wall and the airflow under the condition of right air flow over the wall. Further analysis indicates that the heat storage could be released, when the air flow over the wall beyond a certain velocity.
