All along, how to improve the fuel economy of vehicles has been placed in front of the majority of automotive designers a major problem, because to improve vehicle fuel economy can not only reduce pollution and improve living standards, and also related to a country energy security, environmental protection and other issues. Development of completely pure electric vehicle fuel consumption is certainly the best solution. Therefore, hybrid cars have become the most suitable for the actual situation of the current types of new energy vehicles. Particularplug-in hybrid electric vehicle (Plug-in HEV), it is to solve the traditional problem of high fuel consumption vehicles, pure electric vehicles did not exist a short driving range of shortcomings. Plug-in hybrid vehicles can take advantage of low electricity at night to recharge, usually in urban driving in pure electric mode can work, significant savings in costs and reduce environmental pollution. If the need for long-distance travel (such as inter-city commute or traveling by car), then it could like a regular hybrid cars, like the combustion engine as the main power source, make a pure electric mode, the problem of insufficient mileage.This paper introduces the plug-in hybrid vehicles and the structural arrangement of the basic principles, and the plug-in hybrid vehicle technology in the development of domestic and international status and development trend of the instructions.Then use the Matlab / Simulink an algorithm based on the best fuel efficiency of plug-in hybrid electric vehicle power distribution strategy model vehicles, and vehicle model established by Cruise environment validated analysis and simulation results with the traditional vehicle were compared, the model for the strategy to further improve and optimize provided.The simulation results can be seen, the paper established plug-in hybrid vehicle model vehicle power allocation strategy can effectively reduce vehicle fuel consumption and improve fuel economy, achieved the desired goal.
