Cable is the main load-bearing parts of Cable-stayed bridge, with the characteristics of light damping and low weight, which prone to all kinds of unwanted vibration, while the cable-stayed bridge structure itself is a flexible suspension system, in the earthquake, wind ,under traffic load or just due to the vibration of the bridge towers, which will make the cable axial tension changes in the cyclical , especially when the vibration frequency of deck or tower to be approximately integer multiples to the natural frequency of cables, even a tiny bridge or cable-stayed bridge tower vibration will induce the substantially seriously vibration of cable. Based on the importance and necessity of this research, this paper carried out in the following areas:1,Reviewed the theory and research achievements of cable vibration and control at home and abroad;2,Building up the mathematical model take into account the impact of cable's frequency, the excitation amplitude, damping, then implement the numerical simulation;3,Carried out the modal test of the first order parameter vibration and the first main resonance, measured the corresponding parameters ,which proved actual existence of these two kinds of vibration;4,Carried out the numerical simulation according the modal cable ,investigate the importance of parameters such as axial excitation frequency, excitation amplitude, damping ratio of cable, cable angle ,calculated their contribution to the parameter vibration and main resonance;5,Based on the background of the A11 cable of Dongting Lake Bridge, Carried out the numerical simulation, study effect of the axial excitation amplitude, damping ratio to the primary resonance and the first-order of parameters vibration, and correspondingly, carried out the semi-active control and passive Control research by numerical simulation.
