The low-pylon cable-stayed bridge is a new bridge structure form between beam bridge and cable-stayed bridge on its characteristic under force ,which is also called as partial cable-stayed bridge.If it is said that the beam bridge belongs to rigid bridge type and the cable-stayed bridge is flexible one,while the low-pylon cable-stayed bridge presents structural characteristic both of them. As a result of superior structural property and well economic index of itself, the low-pylon cable-stayed bridge displays more and more enormous development potentiality.The stay cable is an important compotent of the low-pylon cable-stayed bridge whether it is from the point of structure or the aesthetic.The structural form of stay cable as well as its integral and local forced performance all directly affect the final service of low-pylon cable-stayed bridge. Taking the Qiancao Changjiang River Bridge in Luzhou city as background, the three parts above are studied in the paper. The first part is on the structural form of stay cable , analysis is given mainly from terms on material selection, anchorage mode, protection, construction and cable replacement etc. The second one is on the integral forced performance of stay cable,including both static strength and fatigue strength. The third one is on the local forced performance of stay cable anchor block,studied from three ways as girder anchorage, cable tower anchorage as well as anti-sliding.
