As the continuous development of space technology, space exploration and experimental tasks have become more and more diverse, such as space docking, formation flying, etc., which on the performance of satellites and spacecraft are set higher requirements. High-performance of satellite is built based on the complex control system, before the satellite launch, a physical simulation test is necessary to verify the control system stability and reliability. Air bearing spacecraft simulator is the core equipment of the satellite ground physical simulation test, its research work on technology development for space is particularly important obviously. This paper will discuss the design work of the five degrees of freedom air bearing spacecraft simulator.Analysis the functional requirements of 5-dof air bearing spacecraft simulator, determine the system configuration program and to the main components of the program carry out the principle scheme for the design and calculation of specific parameters. Using three-dimensional modeling software based on the results of design calculations to establish five degrees of freedom simulation platform for three-dimensional solid model. Complete processing drawings of the platform.Analysis the air nozzle structure that are used in the platform and calculate the nozzle flow field based on the relevant theories of gas dynamics, access to the nozzle exit section of the flow parameters. Using the simulation software simulate the flow field of nozzle, finally, simulation results are compared with theoretical calculations.According to three-dimensional solid model design the rational assembly sequence to complete assembly.
