Spatial deployable mechanisms, which can be furled to small size for the transportation and deployed into large structure in usable condition, are the basement of the numerous deployable spacecrafts such as solar sail, satellite antenna, large deployable truss, etc. Threfore, the spatial deployable mechanisms has the good prospect of the application and the important research value. In recent years, with the development of our country's aerospace industry, the large scale spatial deployable mechanisms gradually become a new hot research topic. This dissertation firstly studies the movement of Myard linkage, which is proved to be one basic unit to build large scale spatial deployable mechanisms. Then, three elementary kinds of assembly ways of Myard linkages are proposed, which are umbrella-shaped, cross-bars and close-loop assembly. Meanwhile, six types of larger spatial deployable mechanisms are developed based on the Myard linkages with different parameters, whose movements are also analyzed. Next, the kinematics model of spatial deployable mechanisms is established through using D-H parameters method, and the positions, speeds and accelerations of the levers of the mechanism are calculated. This thesis put forward the general process and methods for the kinematics analysis of the large scale spatial deployable mechanisms, and some simulation experiments are done through Matlab. Finally, the deployed dynamic mathematical model of the deployable mecheanism is established in Lagrange method, furthermore, the numerical solutions of the model are gained with Matlab. The basic control principal of drive is analyzed and some simulation experiments are carried out.The research of large scale spatial deployable mechanisms in this thesis has a certain theoretical value and a great significance in the innovative design of new spatial deployable mechanisms.
