With the increasing demand for human spacing as well as the development of space technology, a new generation of aerospace network lead by SpaceWire has been gradually replacing of the traditional spacecraft bus, resulting that world's growing number of organizations adopt the on-board high-speed data processing interface standard. During the pursuit of high-speed networks, reliability, flexibility, people have also realized that to improve aerospace component reusability, reduce on-board systems integration cycle and improve its dynamic configurability, is of great significance. This study is to solve fast integration and dynamic configuration of aerospace electronic equipment, while the hierarchical structure of SpaceWire has also provided necessary conditions to the solution.A study of existing theory and practice result of SpaceWire is presented in this paper firstly, based on which a SpW-PnP protocol stack model is proposed, and the protocol layers selected from ECSS standards are given by detailed analysis. Around the stack model, a design of SpW-PnP network's structure and mechanism is given, with both overall scheme and avaliable method. For the realization of network components, a PC-based network manager is achived according to SpW-PnP Protocol Definition Draft A V2.1, including the console and PnP-library; a set of FPGA-based SpW-PnP simple node are developed according to ECSS-E-ST-50-51C and ECSS-E-ST-50-52C, with a focus on reusability, which is achived by designing a general SOPC architecture and a set of NIOS-II-based program. To provide SpW-PnP components an access to standard network of SpaceWire, in this paper, low-level interface logic is also developed according to ECSS-E-ST-50-12C, based on Verilog HDL language, equipped with Avalon on-chip bus interface, that may form portability. At the end of the paper, a SpW-PnP test network is constructed, using of standard SpaceWire router and SpW-PnP components, and a set of test results are presented, including underlying interface and Plug-and-Play function. The results showed that: the proposed SpW-PnP model accords with SpaceWire mother framework, and is compatible with low-level SpaceWire standard; interface IP core, RMAP library in line with ECSS standards; network components supported Plug-and-Play, and the test network in line with the description of SpW-PnP function descriped in the draft. This research shall make an effort to spacecraft earth-based rapid integration and space-based dynamic configuration, together with the concept of SPA(Space Plug-and-Play Avionics).
