This paper mainly studies on the design and application of cascaded brushless doubly fed machine (CBDFM) controller based on TMS320F2812. Firstly, the structure and operation principle of CBDFM is analyzed, the mathematic model of the motor is theoretically derived, and the operation characteristics of CBDFM in asynchronous, synchronous mode and doubly-fed mode are simulated respectively.Secondly, rotor field oriented vector control algorithm is investigated, and the rotor field oriented vector control algorithm of the control subsystem is realized through developing a double-synchronous-axis model of CBDFM. It is proved by the simulation result that the vector control algorithm can improve the performance of CBDFM.Next, the controller's hardware system is designed. The main control chip is TMS320F2812 from TI, it is combined with the required peripheral circuits. Peripheral circuits include signal detection circuit, communication circuit, PWM output circuit and fault protection circuit. The quality of the controller hardware design is the key to ensure the stability of the entire control system.Finaly, the hardware and software of the controller are debugged, mainly including the functions of each module. The problems found during the debugging process are adjusted and modified, so that the controller can achieve the design requirements, meanwhile, studied the software design of the controller, and this will also lay a solid foundation for future research.
