With the accelerating of urbanization and the rapid development of industry and agriculture in China, urban el ectricity d emand ha s continued t o grow and higher requirements have been put forward for the power supply network. But because the urban distribution network developed far behind, some problems has appeared, such as old e quipment, power in sufficiency, illogical ne twork connection a nd l ow reliability. The problems a bove have hindered the de velopment of o ur national economy a nd the i mprovement of people's living standards. So it is u rgent to reconstruct the urban distribution network. Scientific and rational distribution network planning is the basis to ensure power supply reliability, perfect the grid structure, and guarantee the benefits of power supply enterprise.According to the specific urban construction of Wulateqianqi, this paper chooses urban distribution network planning of Wulateqianqi as research object, analyzes the current situation and existing problems of its grid and predicts its electric load by using load capacity theory and t otal l oad t heory. According t o t he l oad ba lance analysis and the actual development situation of Wulateqianqi city, this paper uses intelligent optimization method based on the minimum load distance principle. We determine the location and capacity of substation according to the typical design of the State G rid C orporation a nd guidelines of u rban power n etwork planning a nd design. According to the location feature of substations in high-voltage distribution network scheme, t he r esults of l oad forecasts a nd t he c alculation of network capacity-load ratio, w e c an further va lidate t he reasonableness of h igh-voltage substation distribution network planning. Then we design the low-voltage distribution network structure based on the work above, analysize the principle of distribution automation technology and t he construction goal, plan and d esign the distribution automation s ystem s tructure and communication s ystem. In t his pa per, maximum current method is used to calculate the theoretical line loss of the planning network. The method of probability and statistics is used for planning grid reliability evaluation. At last, we evaluate the economic benefits, social benefits and technical indexes of high and low voltage distribution network planning scheme, and pu t forward some conclusions a nd related suggestions. Through the power network construction a nd renovation of Wulateqianqi, all aspects of t he grid have been strengthened, social benefits and economic b enefits have b een improved, which have laid a s olid foundation for Wulateqianqi in economic construction and social development.
