With the development of computer technology and the numerical analysis theory, CAE technology as the representative of finite element analysis technology, plays a more and more important role in the design of modern automotive product. FEA is almost throughout the whole process of automotive design. Modern all-Unibody cars body which bears a whole load from the cars tructure. Its strength, stiffness and other static mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of such modes also need to meet higher requirements.Paper introduced the study of car body status at home and abroad, and analyzed the development trend of car body, proposed the application of finite element method simulation of the performance of the concept of body structure. Then,meshed the finite element on three-dimensional model of Car.Established finite element model of the white body.Fouce is to propose the principles and methods of simplification on a common feature of the modeling process.Deal with the key technical issues of flange,hole,ribs on the modeling process.In the development of modern automotive productors, the body structure must meet the bending stiffness, torsional stiffness and the natural mode. And made its stiffness evaluation indicators and evaluation methods. In the paper made the calculation to the body-in-white in the bending and reversing conditions, compared with the experimental data and for analysis. The results show that the calculated result is correct. Finally,made the free modal analysis calculations of the body-in-white. In short, the finite element theory and the theory of multi-body system dynamics-based CAE technology is an important method of vehicle performance; CAE analysis software for continuous improvement and rapid development of computer technology for the simulation of vehicle performance provided favorable conditions; continuous improvement of test methods and tools for the automotive performance study provides reliable protection; through continuous exploration and practice, the performance of BIW automotive technology will make a great contribution.
