Deck pavement layer is an important part of bridge structure,which should have favorable service performance and have long term protective effect on bridge deck. Based on the present situation of study on material and structure design on bridge deck, Mechanical analysis of deck, materials design, pavement structure combination, mechanical behavior of waterproof bonding layer and paving technology and quality control was studied in detail relying on Harbin Matsuura of bridge deck pavement engineering.Combining finite element software,mechanical model of bridge deck pavement was established. Through this model, stress distribution characteristic in the pavement was studied in the case of different combinations of pavement thickness and different material. Horizontal load effect for pavement stress and different combinations of materials and structural layer thickness on stress state of pavement layer effects were obtained.Combining the characteristics of deck and its requirements for materials, technical standards for high viscosity asphalt in bridge deck pavement was proposed. Using high viscosity modified asphalt as binder, designing deck materials (including AC-10, AC-13, AC-16 and SMA-13), verifying its road performance, analysis shows that the design of the mixture has better road performance as a result of high viscosity asphalt as binder.By pull-out experiment, oblique cut and direct shear tests, analysis of the mechanical properties of waterproof bonding layer was carried out. Study on different temperature and loading rate on mechanical properties of waterproof bonding layer effects was developed, on the basis of experimental research, the best waterproof-adhesive rubber asphalt spraying was identified, and deformation characteristics of rubber asphalt waterproof bonding layer was studied.Based on the study of pavement materials, the following layers of different material combinations was designed, by composite rut test and fatigue tests of composite girder, analysis and evaluation of mechanical properties of different material combinations. And suitable deck material combinations of Matsuura bridge was determined. For high viscosity characteristics of asphalt mixture, using high viscosity modified asphalt concrete deck as key construction technology and quality control methods, and construction technology of rubber asphalt waterproof bonding layer was adopted.
