| In the 21st century, with the rapid development of urbanization and social economy, humans are faced with greater natural challenges. The increasing flood disasters and the escalating ecological environment problems gradually become the bottleneck of a healthy and sustainable social economy development. As the concept of ecological and sustainable development strategies being more and more popular,city,which is the most important living place nowadays, the planning and construction of which should keep pace with the times. Flood, one of the most destructive natural disasters, has caused big economic losses. Moreover, city flood disasters take on many new characteristics under new social circumstances—floods together with water shortage, and the conflicts between them are worsening.The scientific and ecological idea of Harmony between people and water points out the future direction for city development. How to achieve ecological urban flood control while balance the water supply and demand in the city becomes the top priority in city construction.This paper focuses the application of city flood control in city construction design based on the geographic information system software ArcGIS . the objective of this study is to establish Xianyang Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in ArcScene based on the terrain analysis by ArcGIS software. By selecting a typical flood and using three-dimensional simulations of ArcScene to demonstrate and analyze of the process of urban flood, and then figure out the submerged areas of Xianyang city, the order of submerged areas, and obtain the flood advance and back line in Xianyang City, so finally we can provide important statistics for the planning and design of the flood collecting systems, city roads and water landscape systems.After analyzing of the resources of rainwater and the ecological water needed in Xianyang, together with the ecological guidance and ArcGIS software analysis results, I finish the initial design of rainwater flood collecting systems and city road landscape designs, the key point of this design is to apply ecological ideas into flood control ,road design and city water landscape layout.Taking the simulation of urban ecological flood control as a reference for urban planning and construction is a new idea and also the foundation for the future work, this paper makes the attempt to set new standards and rules for urban planning and construction. The innovation of this study is to make full use of flood to create urban ecological environment and make urban flood into part of the most important contents and guarantee for urban ecological construction rather than the threat to the environment. Meanwhile, basing on GIS technology platform, by combining rain—flood storage system with urban landscape system, I established this design of city ecological planning and construction of Xianyang and make its ecological, sustainable and healthy development and the construction of ecological flood control possible. |
