Along with carrying out in-depth of the "new rural construction" and "conservation-oriented society", a large number of villages are in the program of improvement and re-planning. At the same time, the energy and construction of rural energy problems attract more and more attention.As Shaanxi Province is located in cold areas, the main consideration in energy-saving work is insulation in winter. Meantime, we should also consider the summer heat insulation. This paper mainly conducts investigations and research against the rural housing energy of Yan'an and Yangling. Based on the data of research, as well as identifying the main issues, it gives some recommendations after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of heating and thermal insulation method. The Paper employs the finite element analysis software ADINA to calculate the heat transfer. The results show that the heat transfer coefficient is an important factor to building energy consumption. The main subject of the paper is to obtain the influence between heat transfer coefficient and temperature. After summarizing the law of heat transfer, we get a wall which saves material and can be the best form of insulation effect. Finally, we can achieve the purpose of saving Energy in Rural Architecture. The main results are as follows.1) These two areas, Yan'an and Yangling, mainly use traditional heating stove and the kitchen fire as heating system, but its heating efficiency is low and the adoption of new energy-saving heating system is less. In the field of building envelope, the northern cave is a very obvious effect of heat preservation architectural forms. However, thermal insulation of windows and doors are needed pay more attention. And residential structural is lack of energy-saving design in rural Yangling areas, building energy efficiency technologies urgent need to promote.2) Reduce the shape factor can improve the structure energy efficiency, so we suggest the rural architectures to adopt multi-family housing, increasing room depth and controlling floor height to reduce the shape factor.3) Insulation ability of single material walls is better than composite ones. Thermal insulation capacity will be poorer when the thermal conductivity gets larger. Small wall thickness will lead to large energy consumption. Shaanxi rural residential buildings should adopte composite walls which not only can greatly reduce the building energy consumption, but also can improve the housing comfort.4) Traditional rural houses are improved, and finally some concepts design for energy-efficient model is proposed.In the background of strained resources, the deteriorating ecological environment today, rural residential energy conservation is of greater significance. I hope that this paper can give a certain extent help to the design and construction of rural housing energy-saving in Shaanxi Province.
