Researches On Service Radius Of Urban Public Park Based GIS And RS

Urban park green space is an important part of urban land, it is an important component of urban landscape elements, it plays an important role of improving the city's ecological environment and maintaining ecological balance of the city, and at the same time, it can also provide various social benefits and the ecological services for the city,it can provide the leisure entertainment for peoples, it have city's historical and cultural value and can improve the image of the city, it has vital significance in improving the quality of urban life.In this study, using remote sensing images, aerial photographs and prospective planning map, we classified land use types in Changzhou TianNing district and Zhonglou district, and extracted the main city park green space, identified the relative resistance value of each land use types, constracted the cost surface. Using the space analysis module in ArcGIS, we calculated the accessibility of these urban park green space, then calculated its service radius based on Reilly model, combined with the opinion of landscape ecology, analyzed and evaluated the distribution of Changzhou urban pak green space.The main studying of this paper are the followings:1) Urban population distribution, urban resistance distribution affect the service radius sizes of urban park green space. Population distribution in Changzhou TianNing district and Zhonglou district was relatively dense, and its infrastructure was comparatively perfect, then the blocked road of some place became the important factor of affecting the green space service radius, in these place, we should pay attention to the distribution of pedestrian crossing facilities and strengthen its construction.2) The landscape quality and landscape accessibility of the urban park green space impact on the service radius size. Comparing the service radius of Rose Garden with that of Hongmei Park, we can find the service radius of Rose Garden is shorter, the service radius is longer with the high landscape quality and good accessibility, and the scope of providing recreational service for people is bigger, where as it is shorter, these place should enhance the infrastructural construction.3) The distribution of urban park green space service radius is irregular. By comparing and analyzing the Changzhou urban park green space service radius and simple buffer method, we can found the urban park green space service radius was not simply a round distribution, and its service area was smaller than the area based on the simple buffer method.Therefore, the study on urban park green space service radius is more effective to evaluate the rationality of the city park green space spatial distribution, to maximize the ecological benefit, to offer the reference ground of decision-making from landscape design in urban planning in future. Meanwhile, it also can extend to other city planning and construction.
