With the rapid development of national economy,the demand for all kinds of metal resources is great,prices are keeping rising,so the cable theft activities occur frequently. Especially in highway, due to the electric power transmission line is low voltage electrical power,and it is widely distributed,which make criminal activities run wildly. It has seriously affected the normal operation and management of highway,bring considerable property damage to the country.and it caused tremendous potential security risks.Therefore, anti-theft methods of highway power cable and demands of the products are more and more urgent.The current applicated monitoring system has many problems, such as slow response, inaccurate fault location etc. It far failed to meet the requirements. For requirements on the cable anti-theft system,this paper proposed the intelligent monitoring anti-theft system which based on the power line carrier technology.The system consists of monitoring center, monitoring host and monitoring slave.monitoring host and monitoring slave are connected by communication of power line carrier.If the cable is stolen, the communication between the monitoring host and monitoring slave will be interrupted.Monitoring of the main station will immediately report to the alarm monitoring center through GPRS wireless network.On the basis of detailed analysis of the feasibility of power line carrier communication technology, combined with the characteristics of the carrier communication, this paper proposed four requirements on the carrier communication network:①find the optimal path of the data frame;②rediscovered the optimal path when the node damaged;③only allows one node to send the data frame at any time;④meet the plug and play of the target node. For this, on the object of the physical network model of the carrier communication nodes, this paper designed dynamic network carriercommunication method which based on Dijkstra algorithm, this paper designed dynamic network algoristhm of the carrier communication based on Dijkstra.The algorithm can automatically search the optimal path of the data frame from the master station to various slave stations to improve the efficiency of the cable detection. At the same time, for the wire and cable widely distributed on the highway, fastly and accurately to achieve the fault location after the fault.According to the thought of two adjacent nodes defined the fault zone ,this paper designed a fault location method which is applycable to multi-point fault conditons. When the detection is failed, the system re-communicated network, comprehensivly analyze the time from the main station to each slave station and the data frame path through before the commuication network, to determine the location of the fault point.The simulation results show that the system carrier communication dynamic network algorithm is valid and effective, the fault location algorithm has high accuracy. At the same time, the testing of the intelligent monitoring anti-theft system also shows that the intelligent monitoring anti-theft system has a high success rate of the actual fault detection which based on the power line carrier technology.
