| Freeway network's operation safety and efficiency are seriously affected under adverse weather. Taking freeway network operation and management as investigated object, this paper researches the development and application of freeway network information system.Based on the field survey, it analyzes the influence of adverse weather on freeway operation by using knowledge of road and traffic engineering. According with the requirement of traffic management in adverse weather, it puts forward the frame of road network information system, including information detection, processing and distribution. It could adapt the top-down and layer-by-layer management system: the main information center of freeway network, the area center and the road section information center.Next, in order to research the traffic control strategies, this paper describes the basic principles of road network build, the divided methods for management section and unit. It also puts forward the layer model of road network which could help for software development and decision making, proposing the basic principle of traffic diversion and the method of the best round path decision. A discussion on how to implement traffic control such as entrance ramp control, mainline control, corridor control or combined control concludes the paper.Then, through question and field survey, the users and their requirements are analyzed. The layer-by-layer information distribution mode for road section, as online for road network is explored. Also the method applied to decide the bound of information distribution based on dynamic traffic and distance to the location of traffic accident is suggested.Finally, From the point of view of software engineering,this paper designs and developments that decision support system for freeway operation and management in adverse weather, and describes the system functions,database and data flow. This paper is written based on the Chongqing ring freeway, as well as develops the software decision support system for freeway operation and management in adverse weather of Chongqing ring freeway. |
