Reinforced concrete bridges are widely used,especially in the bridge of middling and small span. Recently with the increase of dangerous and old bridge, however,the structure of the actual service life have not enough attention in process of bridge design. There is a serious problem which many bridge researchers face with: how to estimate technology state of existing bridge structure and make reliability evaluation methods by scientific detective and test ways to provide scientific basis for rehabilitation of dangerous and old bridge.In this paper, for the existing reinforced concrete bridges, consider the main factors that overloading, crack and others impact on the structural capacity to derive an analysis model about calculation of crack's height and width under status of loading conditions, and introduce the evolution rate and the introduction of structural damage to the structure of bending and shearing and other effective modes of resistance calculation formula. Through the establishment of ultimate limit state equation, enabling the existing reinforced concrete bridges carrying capacity and durability of the assessment and prediction.This paper follows the route on this technology, uses the neutral axis equation and bridges Screening methods to analysis the bridge superstructure cracking , and uses ANSYS and ADINA finite element analysis software for bridge structures to simulate the crack laws, establishes a correspondence between the fracture's height the load. And introduce factors of fracture height to the bridge structure's bearing and reinforcement and provide theoretical guidance.A practical bridge's superstructure is assessed in this paper and the result bear out this method is convenient and feasible. And point out the deficiency and development direction of this method. The paper offers a certain reference for the bearing capacity and durability study of reinforced concrete bridges in the future.
